Vacation All I Ever Wanted

Okay, so I didn't leave my husband and go on a vacation, but he left a job so the Go-Go's lyrics will have to do. Besides, it's a catchy tune.

We had an immensely restorative 8 days in Hawai'i. It was absolutely the best thing we could have done. Look at the view that greeted us from our bedroom every morning:
We ran (more like jogged incredibly slowly it was so bloody humid), biked, and sunbathed our way around the island and we drank more piña coladas than was probably necessary. All around fabulous.

Interesting Vacation Fact:
- Did you know that sugar cane fields are burned before the cane is harvested? It's kind of insane if you're not accustomed to this sort of thing. I was pretty happy to have learned this interesting fact at the Baldwin Sugar Museum before waking up to this one morning:
